The one night his partners in crime were not there to back him, Dominik Mysterio bottled up under pressure and lost his NXT North American title. At the NXT Deadline PLE, the 26-year-old went toe-to-toe with an opponent who had just sneaked in as a replacement for Wes Lee. Having said that, Dragon Lee filled in those shoes and made the most of his opportunity.

After the show, “Dirty” Dom was found distraught in the backstage area. The cameras found him fuming in anger, and that’s when he decided to drag The Judgment Day into the mud. Mysterio questioned the whereabouts of Finn Balor, Damian Priest, JD McDonagh, and Rhea Ripley when he needed them the most. Had his Judgment Day family been there last night, Dom would’ve crossed the line.

However, now that it’s said and done, Mysterio has no one but himself to blame. He took the masked luchador for granted when Rey Mysterio introduced Dragon Lee as his son’s new opponent for NXT Deadline. Dom crossed the limit when he spit on Lee at this week’s SmackDown.

He might’ve been riding on the confidence, as Dom did pip Lee the last time they went one-on-one for the title on Raw. However, understanding the magnitude of that golden opportunity he got in Bridgeport, Dragon Lee managed to make that count.

It doesn’t seem like Dominik will go on a tirade against The Judgment Day, especially against his Mami. In the aforementioned video clip, Mysterio did say he’s coming back to her. It would be interesting to see what the future holds for modern-day Latino Heat now that he may not be able to have a crack at Dragon Lee. Both superstars are deployed in different brands, and there’s a fine line separating the individuals.

Rhea Ripley heaps a ton of praise over Dominik Mysterio despite his title loss

Shortly after Dominik Mysterio succumbed to dismay at NXT Deadline, Rhea Ripley took to X and penned a heartwarming note for her Dom-Dom. Highlighting how Dom’s been a prohibitive workhorse for WWE this year, The Eradicator said she’s extremely proud of his growth.

It felt like she spoke from her heart and put forth her real emotions in that post. Is she mad at what happened? Yes, for sure. But as indicated through her note, Rhea Ripley couldn’t have been more proud of the man Dominik has become ever since joining The Judgment Day.

Am I upset? Sad? Mad? Yes. But @dominik_35 has been THE BIGGEST WORKHORSE within WWE all year! His growth has been insane… Very VERY proud! Forever my Champion

The fans would love to see both Rhea and Dominik together as an on-screen duo as much as they can. It’s now up to WWE as to how far they can take this. This coming Monday night on Raw, Rhea Ripley will take on Maxxine Dupri.
