Well, because it’s important to address the elephant in the room, let’s be honest, Kevin Owens doesn’t have one of the best physiques in the entire wrestling community. But as a matter of fact, that this doesn’t become a roadblock in his in-ring performance is commendable. Now, a former WWE writer and wrestler has commented on The Prizefighter’s physique and obviously hasn’t put it nicely.

Dutch Mantell, who is known for his stints with companies like WCW, TNA and WWE in both on and off-screen roles. While speaking on his podcast Story Time with Dutch Mantell, he called Kevin Owens a cab driver and even said that Owens’ physique doesn’t look like he belongs to the wrestling fraternity.

Calling him a great worker, Mantell said- “Owens has a lot of heat on him anyway because if you look at him, he doesn’t have the body, he doesn’t have the tan, he looks like a cab driver going to get in his cab. Great worker, but his external features or look doesn’t befit the profession that he’s in.” The former WWE writer further said that he has heard that Owens gets “blowed up” (tired) in the ring.

Mantell said that Kevin Owens works around 15 minutes per night, which should help him maintain his shape, but pointed that sometimes the wrestlers can get tired if they feel nervous while working in the ring as it hinders one’s breathing and emotions as well. Kevin Owens is currently being rumored to face Roman Reigns at Royal Rumble 2023 for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. But, just like always, the plans can change on the fly when it comes to WWE.

Kevin Owens feels that he has unfinished business with Roman Reigns

Interestingly, Kevin Owens had last challenged Roman Reigns for Universal Championship in January 2021 that too at Royal Rumble, but wasn’t able to clinch the title from Reigns. Owens and Reigns had come face to face at the WarGames match, where Owens came close to pin Roman Reigns before Sami Zayn stopped the referee to complete the pinfall.

While speaking on After The Bell podcast with Corey Graves, Owens said that he feels that he has an unfinished business with Roman Reigns and he wants a shot at the title. He said that he knows that not much has changed since their last match, but The Prizefighter said that he wants to face Reigns one more time for the fans.

Amidst the rumors of WWE planning a programme between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens, there were reports that suggested backstage heat between the two over an unplanned spot in the WarGames match which saw The Prizefighter shocking The Tribal Chief with a thunderous slap. Reigns felt that the spot was uncalled for and thus was angry, but eventually the things got settled.
