After months of rivalry, the storyline between the two superstars has reached its crescendo. The Rated R superstar will battle Finn Balor in a Hell in a Cell match at WrestleMania 39. However, this week, the WWE Universe saw Balor deliver an emphatic message to his opponent ahead of his match at Mania. In a video segment on Raw, the 41-year-old teased the return of “Demon King.” Stating his WrestleMania match, he said there’s nothing more dangerous than a Demon locked inside a cage.
Referring to his evil persona, Finn Balor said that he does not need to summon his demons and that they reside within him. He quoted, “I don’t summon my demons; my demons are always here; you just need to look closely.” Besides, there have been ongoing rumours that the WWE Universe would get to behold the return of Demon Balor at WrestleMania 39. Therefore, it looks like WWE has given a preview to the fans ahead of the match between Edge and Finn Balor.
Moreover, the Judgment Day member told Edge to go to his darkest place and unlock the devil within him. The 41-year-old told the world that he would unleash his alter ego at Hell in a Cell. The evil persona of Balor has always left an air of secrecy and delirium among the fans. Therefore, the fans have always longed to get a glimpse of it in WWE.
Besides, Demon King is one of the rarest things on WWE TV. The last time WWE Universe caught a glimpse of it was during Extreme Rules 2021. However, it looks inevitable that the fans will once again get to witness the much-awaited return of Finn Balor’s alter ego at WrestleMania 39.

Demon Balor’s last appearance in WWE
Extreme Rules 2021 is the PLE during which the Demon King made his presence in WWE. Balor’s alter ego squared off against Roman Reigns in a match for the Universal Championship. However, the ending of the match disgruntled the fans. Balor lost to Reigns in one of the worst finishes ever that WWE planned. It was Balor’s first loss in his demon persona. As a result, the fans heavily criticized WWE for the decision.
The result of the match between Roman Reigns and Finn Balor was not immaculate. Not only did Balor lose the match, but it also tarnished his demonic persona. Ever since then, the WWE Universe hasn’t had a chance to descry the Demon King. However, it’s just a matter of time before the evil persona of Finn Balor returns to WWE television once again.
