Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson needs no introduction, as the former professional wrestler is one of the most formidable names in the realm of Hollywood, boasting a massive fan following. Everyone knows what a wonderful wrestler he is and how hard he has worked to achieve this incredible feat. He has also assisted several up-and-coming wrestlers in advancing their careers. However, that’s not all. Jim Ross recently disclosed that the American star has supported another wrestling legend.
In his latest podcast episode, ‘Grilling JR,’ Jim Ross briefly discussed how Goldberg made it in the wrestling industry. He even revealed that when once WCW closed down, the former WWE Universal Champion was out of employment and had nothing to do for the next two years.
For context, the WWE backstage debate over whether or not to recruit Goldberg gained immense prominence on the internet, eliciting a plethora of reactions online. With that being said, everything led back to The Rock, the company’s top superstar at the time. He voted for Goldberg, which has had a significant influence on the whole wrestling industry since then. Fans can clearly see how much the WWE Hall of Famer has developed since then.
Jim Ross noted, “Yeah, Rock had a great influence and impact on that whole negotiation because he was the top guy. He was The Rock. And anytime you can get a top guy to vouch for you, that they want to work with you at the biggest event of the year, how could it not make you feel pretty good?”

The Rock making a return to WWE?
The reintroduction of the Brahma Bull into the organization has been speculated about for many years. This year, suspicions are at an all-time high, with The Rock said to be preparing a return to the organization during the Royal Rumble event in 2023. There is even speculation that he may win the entire tournament.
The Rock rumors were fading because fans wanted Cody Rhodes to headline the largest platform of them all, but WWE does not appear to be interested. According to rumors, Cody will return to the organization on the 2nd January episode of Raw to continue his feud with Seth Rollins.

This implies that The Rock’s route to WrestleMania is simple, and he can easily confront his cousin Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
