Finn Balor shook the wrestling world with his return in 2017. After recovering from an injury, Balor came back in the best shape of his career. But fans didn’t find WWE supporting the Prince after his return. Balor was not booked with great storylines until 2021.

After his return from NXT, Balor had his sights set on the Universal Champion Roman Reigns. He challenged the ‘Tribal Chief’ at Extreme Rules 2021 but couldn’t execute his plans to the fullest. Finn Balor entered as ‘The Demon King’ who was undefeated on the main roster. But after the Usos’ interference and a sudden ring collapse, his streak came to an end.

In an interview with Josh Martinez a few weeks ago, Balor revealed that his rivalry with Roman Reigns didn’t end at Extreme Rules 2014. In addition to that, an idea was pitched for the rivalry to go in a different direction but the return of Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam 2021 changed plans.

“I feel like it’s just been left open-ended and the finish hasn’t been addressed and there was an idea to go a different direction, but then Brock returned and the direction changed so, that’s something you kind of have to come to terms with and understand in WWE…. I feel like, you know, perhaps the next couple of months, we should really revisit that and address what happened that night.”

The Prince is set to battle the Phenomenal AJ Styles at Survivor Series 2022. The two former friends have some business left in the ring to deal with. Balor and Styles collided for the first time in WWE back at TLC 2017. After powering past the former WWE Champion in an instant classic, Balor and Styles never crossed paths until recently.

Finn Balor went rogue on AJ Styles after joining the Judgement Day and then come out as the its leader. While the inaugural Universal Champion offered a spot in their faction to Styles, a rejection was something that was not acceptable for him.

After repeated rejections from the Phenomenal One, Balor and his allies went on to attack him. This was followed by the classic return of the Good Brothers and Styles getting some sort of backup. The three men went on to face the Judgement Day at Crown Jewel 2022 but couldn’t score a victory.

To end things up between them, a one-on-one match is scheduled between Finn Balor and AJ Styles. The match is set to take place in Boston, Massachusets on November 26th in a likely sold-out TD Garden.
