This year’s event, beginning on April 1st, will mark the first-ever WrestleMania not under the guiding hands of Vince McMahon. While his involvement in the creative team remains disputed, most of the major storylines are booked by Triple H, culminating at the Grandest Stage of Them All. There are, in total, 13 matches announced across two nights of WrestleMania. However, only a few are the biggest attractions for the event, built as marquee matches. Here’s a look at some of the biggest matches at the Showcase of the Immortals.

In a quite rare move, WWE has announced the match that will kick off WrestleMania proceedings days in advance. The United States Championship match between John Cena and Austin Theory is a huge match that was confirmed a few weeks before the event. This past Monday, WWE officially announced that the championship bout will be the first one on the WrestleMania card on April 1st.

The weekly viewers of the product can argue that the build for this match has been sub-par with just one face-to-face meeting between the two superstars. However, the name John Cena alone is enough to attract the masses. The Hollywood star was a huge name rumored for the Show of Shows, considering this year’s theme for the event.

As the 16-time World Champion has not been a regular part of WWE for quite a while, this match is not expected to go long. Nonetheless, it has the potential to be a great match considering both workers here. Moreover, if Austin Theory can get a huge victory over John Cena at WrestleMania, there could be no bigger feat in the 25-year-old superstar’s career.

Seth Rollins vs Logan Paul (WrestleMania Night 1)

Here’s a match that could low-key steal the show on Night 1 of WrestleMania. The match between Logan Paul and Seth Rollins has been building since the Royal Rumble when the former eliminated the latter. Soon the rivalry became more personal, and the two have been on a collision course ever since.

In the build-up to the match, the social media star knocked out the former WWE champion twice with his one lucky punch. This adds some scare amongst Seth Rollins’ fans, who would want nothing more than for him to come out victorious. Nonetheless, there is a strong case for both superstars to win this match. Moreover, Logan Paul, who celebrates his birthday on April 1st, would be even more motivated to end the night with his hand raised high.

Charlotte Flair vs Rhea Ripley (WrestleMania Night 1)

The WrestleMania 36 rematch between Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley is arguably the biggest women’s match on the card. After winning the 2023 Royal Rumble, The Eradicator didn’t waste any time in making her choice and announced that she would challenge Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. The two have since had multiple face-offs on SmackDown, including a brawl to hype up the match.

Charlotte Flair is looking to keep her record clean against Rhea Ripley, who has never beaten her in singles competition. On the other hand, Ripley seeks redemption and aims to etch her name in history as she becomes a Grand Slam Champion in WWE. While it is not confirmed, the bout between the two superstars is heavily rumored to be in the main event of Night One.

The Usos vs Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn (WrestleMania Night 1)

Without a doubt, the biggest story going into WrestleMania 39 is the Bloodline. The Samoan faction has been dominating the entire industry for almost three years now. Moreover, the addition of Sami Zayn to this heel group has elevated this story to an emotional height never seen in WWE for years.

While many fans wanted the former Honorary Uce to be part of the World Title picture at WrestleMania, there is no doubt the company has kept the emotions of the fans in check. After months of soap opera drama and a tale of betrayal and friendship, the story finally comes to an end this weekend. The real-life brothers, The Usos, will defend their Undisputed Tag Team Championship against the two friends from Montreal, who are no less than brothers either.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn are expected to walk out of the SoFi Stadium as the new champions, ending the record-breaking reign of The Usos. Apart from Rhea Ripley vs. Charlotte Flair, this is the only match in contention for the main event of Night One of the event. However, this story does not standalone as it will also connect with the Undisputed WWE title match on Night 2.

Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes (WrestleMania Night 2)

All “Rhodes” lead to the main event of WrestleMania as the Grandon of a Plumber steps into the biggest challenge of his 17-year wrestling career. The resurgence of Cody Rhodes is no less than a fairy tale. After traveling around the world for six years, the Prodigal Son returned at WrestleMania 38. Soon after, he made his intentions clear to win the WWE Championship.

However, the story goes far back as Cody steps foot in the ring not only as a challenger but also as the first member of the Rhodes family to headline a WrestleMania. On the contrary, there is no active superstar in WWE right now who has headlined more WrestleManias than his opponent, Roman Reigns. Just like the Undisputed tag title match, this is also going to be filled with drama and shenanigans from The Bloodline.

As noted, the Tribal Chief has been running the company for over two and a half years, and he would hate nothing more than to lose his title. However, the fans believe that the time has come to put a pin on the historic title reign of Roman Reigns as Cody Rhodes vows to finish his story. This is one of the most anticipated WrestleMania main events of all time, as it culminates this Sunday, April 2nd, at the Showcase of the Immortals.
