Roman Reigns is currently one of the best heels in WWE currently. The Tribal Chief returned to WWE at SummerSlam 2020 and became the Universal Champion at Payback 2020. Since then, he has taken everyone out of his way and has proved to be one of the most dominant champions on WWE history.

Reigns’ Universal Championship reign has run for about an year and is still to be ended. Though WWE has made no mistake in keeping the championship with the Head of the Table, it could become a blunder if Reigns is not defeated now.

In his reign, he has defeated the likes of Braun Strowman, Edge, Daniel Bryan, Rey Mysterio, Cesaro, Kevin Owens, and Jey Uso. But even after defeating everyone, Reigns has unofficially been pinned or submitted in multiple matches. Everytime he submitted or was pinned, either the referee was absent or the referee himself helped the champion.

Also, there are many worthy contendors like Edge, Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens, etc who should be the Universal Champion by now. WWE booking all their championships with only one person has been one of the biggest reasons for the downfall of ratings.

So, WWE should take the Universal Championship off Reigns in a way that he doesn’t look weak and other superstars get an opportunity.

If Reigns enters these kind of matches as the champion, it would be very easy to determine who the winner would be. Both John Cena and the Rock are two pillars of the Hollywood industry. These legends remain very busy and can pick a time once in a year to return to WWE.

With these circumstances, it is obvious that WWE cannot let these legends defeat Reigns and become world champions. So, WWE should take the championship off Reigns’ shoulders to intrigue more people in the dream matches.

WWE should make other superstars get the push they have been waiting for since their debut. This could help them enhance their career and start a new journey in WWE. Not only that but there are many other superstars who deserve to be the champion by now.

But due to the lengthy reigns of Apollo Crews and Roman Reigns, it is impossible for them to even stay in the championship picture.

Therefore, this is the perfect time for WWE to crown a new Universal Champion and let new faces step up to get opportunities.
