Can Charlotte Flair claim her 12th WWE World title at WWE Summerslam 2021?
Charlotte Flair
WWE Summerslam 2021 will be featuring 10 matches on the main card. Seven of these matches will have Championships on the line, whereas the rest are going to be non-title bouts. Some of the biggest Superstars of the company like John Cena, Randy Orton and Goldberg, among others will be battling to win Championships.
But another huge Superstar, Charlotte Flair, will have something bigger than a title to chase. Flair will be participating in a triple-threat match for the Raw Women’s Championship at WWE Summerslam 2021. But if The Queen manages to win, she will win much more than a title. Charlotte Flair will become a 12-time WWE World Champion, highest among the entire women’s division.
Interestingly, her last Championship reign, which lasted for just a day, was initially believed to be her 13th title reign. But Flair revealed a night after winning the title at WWE Money in the Bank, that it was her 11th Championship. Later it was noticed that WWE had removed her 2 NXT Women’s Championship reigns from the count, bringing the number down to 11.
Charlotte Flair had defeated Rhea Ripley at WWE Money in the Bank 2021 to win the Raw Women’s Championship. But the very next day, Money in the Bank winner Nikki A.S.H. surprised everyone to successfully cash-in the title on Flair, ending her 11th reign in less than 24 hours!
Charlotte Flair has a realistic chance of becoming 12-time Champion at WWE Summerslam 2021
If the recent build-up is anything to go by, Charlotte Flair stands a realistic chance of becoming a 12-time Champion at WWE Summerslam 2021. At the go-home episode of Raw for Summerslam, Rhea Ripley – who is also a part of the triple threat match, picked up a clean win over Nikki A.S.H., the current Champion.
Booking logic suggests that Rhea Ripley is most definitely not winning the title at “The Biggest Party of the Summer”. This leaves us with Nikki and Flair. Prior to the go-home episode of Raw, Nikki A.S.H. had no real heat, but a brutal assault on Flair has hinted that A.S.H. could retain. Despite this, Flair is the favourite to pick up the win. Additionally, giving Flair back-to-back PPV Championship wins could also be the reason for WWE removing her two NXT wins.
