Tony Farmer isn’t ready to let Dianna Russini and Mike Vrabel rest easy. The popular podcaster and San Francisco 49ers expert returns with another hot take about the former NFL insider.

As the league calendar slowly inches closer to the new season, the scandal that rocked the entire football world is losing juice. Russini and the New England Patriots head coach, Mike Vrabel, are normally leading their lives without facing many repercussions for their actions.

Farmer is not ready to let the story die just yet. He’s among the few who remain determined to uncover the truth and seek justice for the people who have been affected by the entire scandal. On Sunday, May 31, Farmer reposted a photo of Russini kissing Vrabel at a bar when he coached the Tennessee Titans. He became the mouthpiece of deprived Tennessee-based writers of breaking news because Russini’s extramarital affair with Vrabel.

Titans’ beat writers didn’t know what they were up against when ESPN, thanks to Russini, reported that Tom Brady wasn’t coming to Tennessee. That report came out 4 days after the reported bar photos in New York! If Vrabel was Russini’s source, then some random beat writer in Tennessee was denied the opportunity to break this story. [They were] denied the opportunity to add that to their resume and earn praise from their supervisor. How many times may could this have happened? This seems really unfair and nobody talks about it.

Previously, Farmer criticized the mainstream media for ignoring the Vrabel-Russini scandal. He urged the big publications to apply more pressure on them so that everyone could find closure. But that hasn’t happened. And it’s slowly being swept under the rug.

Russini left her job with The Athletic a few days after the first series of photos surfaced. Currently, she resides in New York with her husband and two sons.

Vrabel, on the other hand, checked into counseling that forced him to miss the final day of the draft. That said, he remained present at the Patriots facility after the draft ended and faced the media for the first time a few days before the OTAs kicked off. He carefully avoided talking about his personal life.

Really good. I appreciate that my family is great. I love Jen [Vrabel], I love the boys, I love my personal friends.

The Patriots hired Vrabel ahead of the 2025 NFL season. In his first year, the Patriots reclaimed the AFC East crown from the Buffalo Bills. They defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, the Houston Texans, and the Denver Broncos, qualifying for the Super Bowl. In the final, they played the Seattle Seahawks, who won 29-13.

Many thought the scandal might force the Patriots to part ways with Vrabel. Seeing it was a personal matter, neither the club nor the NFL interfered in the matter. Vrabel remains the head coach and is heading into his second year with the Pats.

As for the players, Vrabel has their full support. Recently, Boston Herald’s Doug Kyed asked veteran defensive tackle Milton Williams whether he’s noticed any change in Vrabel.

Same guy, talking s**t, getting guys ready to roll.

Williams told Kyed

Vrabel coached the Titans for seven seasons and recorded a 54-45 record. In 2019, the Titans reached the AFC Champions game, where they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs.
