Ran Carthon, a former San Francisco 49ers executive, is asking fans to view Brandon Aiyuk’s tussle with the club in a humane manner. From Carthon’s point of view, fans aren’t aware of the complete picture.

In a recent episode of CBS Sports’ With the First Pick podcast, Carthon, a former NFL running back, said that players are always under a lot of pressure to perform. Aiyuk is in the same boat. His efforts to quickly resolve the matter are not working and are dragging on unnecessarily, creating pressure on himself.

Moreover, the fans are blaming him for the entire mess rather than understanding his side of the story.

Just try to look at it from their standpoint. Humanize these guys instead of looking at them as a product— whether they’re on your team or not. If you loved Brandon Aiyuk for everything he did for you as a 49ers Faithful, show the man some grace and let the full picture run its course. That’s all I’ll say on that.

Aiyuk wants the 49ers to terminate his $30 million/year contract so he can sign with the Washington Commanders. His objective is to play with his Arizona State teammate, Jayden Daniels, who is currently the starting quarterback of the DC franchise.

To make sure the 49ers listen to his appeal, Aiyuk has called out the team in several social media videos. Some of his clips even included best wishes for the Commanders in their quest to end their Super Bowl drought.

Former NFL WR gave a brutal reality check to Brandon Aiyuk

The 49ers drafted Aiyuk in the first round of the 2020 draft. In his fourth year, Aiyuk caught 75 passes for 1342 yards and scored 7 touchdowns.

While the Niners were discussing an extension, Aiyuk went behind the team’s back and appeared on a podcast with Daniels. His intentions were clear. He wanted to link up with Daniels.

However, shortly after the stunt, Aiyuk put pen to paper on the new deal. He played just seven games before suffering a season-ending ACL tear. He completed his rehab privately, and when the Niners asked him to report back, he ditched them completely. He has remained AWOL ever since.

Instead of reconciling with the 49ers, Aiyuk remains hellbent on joining the Commanders. Former NFL WR TJ Houshmandzadeh, in a recent episode of Speakeasy, claimed the Commanders will likely close their doors for Aiyuk if he doesn’t change his behavior.

I’m almost certain he isn’t going to the Commanders. That isn’t going to happen. I don’t know if he’s going to the Commanders, and this was already written in stone, and they’re just trolling everybody, but he isn’t going to the Commanders… His mouth has gotten him in trouble a bit too much, I would not be surprised if we do not see him play football again. It would not surprise me.

Brandon Aiyuk’s latest video has shocked the internet

Aiyuk’s latest Instagram video isn’t about pushing his agenda on the Niners. In the short clip, the 28-year-old is feeding his two dogs.

At first glance, the video appears harmless until eagle-eyed social media accounts noticed something disturbing. Aiyuk keeps shoving one of his dogs so that the other can eat, but near the end of the clip, he appears to kick the unruly pup.

Aiyuk has played 69 games for the Niners. He has racked up 294 receptions for 4305 yards and scored 25 touchdowns.
