On Monday, Bryson DeChambeau raised some speculation regarding his and his league’s future once again. In a post on Instagram, the 2-time major champion dropped a cryptic message, a day after the finale of LIV Golf 1.0.
This past Sunday marked the end of the 2026 season for LIV Golf. After the Team Championship event supposed to be held at The Cardinal in Michigan, was cancelled, the LIV Golf Indianapolis event became the season finale.
The tournament at The Club at Chatham Hills saw DeChambeau in contention on Sunday. While he had already lost the season-long individual championship title to Jon Rahm, he found himself battling the Spaniard and Michael La Sasso for the Indianapolis title.
Eventually, he finished T3, 2 shots behind winner La Sasso and 1 shot behind Rahm. He wrapped up the 2026 season with 2 wins and 5 additional top-10 finishes in 12 events.
With the season done, there are now questions regarding the future. While the league has secured a new lead investor and funding for the 2027 season, there is still some uncertainty surrounding it.
On top of that, DeChambeau’s future also remains unclear. The 2-time major champion was in the final year of his contract with the breakaway tour. Though the American international has expressed confidence in the league, he has not signed a new deal yet.
Amidst this, he dropped a cryptic post. He took to his Instagram account and shared several photos of him celebrating some of his top moments on LIV Golf. It was his 5-word message in the caption that captured the attention of the fans.
It was a good run

This could be a simple message from DeChambeau. In the 2027 season, LIV Golf is expected to undergo several structural changes.
In LIV Golf 2.0, players will become major equity holders. The league will have 10 events with 5 team signatures and 5 team majors. So DeChambeau’s message could simply be him reflecting on the original LIV Golf.
Bryson DeChambeau had claimed that something fun was coming for the future
Bryson DeChambeau’s message on social media on Monday raised several questions among the fans. This came just a day after he backed the league for the future and claimed that something fun was coming.

DeChambeau has become one of the top draws on LIV Golf with some strong performances in recent years. He has also been highly vocal about his league and defended it several times from criticism.
Following the final round on Sunday, he was once again confident about his league. In an interview with Jerry Flotz, the 32-year-old expressed that LIV Golf’s future has a “lot of potential” and that something fun was on its way.
I think there’s a lot of potential moving forward. … I think there is something fun coming.

DeChambeau also took a subtle jab at Rory McIlroy recently. While he did not name him, the Crushers GC captain hoped that people were open-minded and would give them one more shot after the World No.2 questioned what value they brought to LIV.
However, the biggest question right now remains regarding DeChambeau. Where he will play next season is on the mind of several golf fans. With reports of Jon Rahm’s potential departure from LIV Golf, the breakaway tour would not want to lose two of its top stars in the same window.
