Charlotte Flair was spotted doing the Oba Femi strut in an off-air moment this past Friday on SmackDown. Flair was thoroughly enjoying herself as she went on with her impression of The Ruler’s signature walk to the ring. It definitely caught the attention of the fans online as those in the arena didn’t miss out on posting it in numbers on the internet.

‘The Queen’ is a pioneer in women’s wrestling, and she’s currently in the latter part of what has been an incredible career for her. Flair has conspicuously been giving it back to the younger generation of WWE talent of late, and this trend is expected to continue further. Charlotte Flair imitating Femi’s strut is being looked at as her way of endorsing ‘The Ruler’.

Femi has taken the WWE Universe by storm just months into his promotion to the main roster. Fresh off dominating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, the Nigerian wrestler was craving competition on the red brand. After running roughshod through some minnows for a couple of weeks, Femi got rocked by a returning Lesnar last Monday.

‘The Beast’ ambushed the former NXT Champion during his entrance and clobbered the 28-year-old with four thunderous F-5s. They’re now set to battle it out this Sunday in Turin at Clash in Italy. Oba Femi will kick off tonight’s Raw to address Lesnar sneak-attacking him last week.

The fans should expect a fiery warning shot from ‘The Bringer of War’, who would be foaming at the mouth to get his hands on the former UFC Heavyweight Champion. Many fans believe that Lesnar being back greatly tainted the magnitude of his perceived WWE retirement that he called for in the immediate aftermath of his loss to Femi at WrestleMania.

Former WCW executive Eric Bischoff deemed The Beast’s return on Raw as a reactionary pivot. ‘The Easy E’ concluded that Lesnar either got too emotional following his match at WrestleMania or eventually realized that he was leaving a huge bag of money behind with that freak of a retirement call.

On the other hand, Tommy Dreamer thought it was a genuine surprise and made him feel that the wrestling business could still produce such shockers. The ECW icon argued that since Lesnar is a heel, he could lie about retiring and force his way back whenever it suited him.

Charlotte Flair on if she has talked to Ric Flair and John Cena about beating their records

As much popularity Oba Femi has attained in such a short span of time on the WWE main roster, he would be more than tempted to have a resume like that of Charlotte Flair’s. She has won fourteen world titles up until this point and is still in the conversation of adding more to her kitty.

She’s two world title reigns shy of matching her legendary father, Ric Flair, and one more to equal John Cena‘s record-setting seventeen world title reigns. ‘The Queen’ had a chat with TMZ‘s Inside The Ring, where she was asked whether she has had conversations with both her dad and Cena about overtaking them in terms of wrestlers with the most world title reigns in WWE.

In her response, the 40-year-old said she speaks to her dad daily and keeps reminding him that she’ll beat his record one day. Flair even joked about telling ‘The Nature Boy’ to not tweet about it or else she’d take his phone away. When it comes to running it by ‘The Cenation Leader’, Charlotte Flair hasn’t been able to do so yet.

However, she remembered something along the lines of Cena opening up the floor for the entire WWE roster regardless of the gender to equal or better his record at last year’s Royal Rumble post-show presser. While it might not necessarily be a direct nod to her, Flair affirmed that since Cena kept it open to both genders, he must be aware of her closing the gap and gunning to surpass him too.

Speaking of which, it’s currently rumored that ‘The Queen’ will ultimately feud with Rhea Ripley, leading to a women’s title match between them at this year’s SummerSlam. While these women were able to put their differences aside at Saturday Night’s Main Event this past weekend, they still have deep-rooted animosity harbored for each other.
