For a better part of the 2025 NFL season, analysts viewed Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott as one of the favorites to win the league MVP crown. Prescott finished the regular season with 404 completions (most in the league), for 4552 yards, 30 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions.

Impressive numbers, but the Cowboys registered a 7-9-1 record and missed the playoffs. It’s not the sort of year Prescott had planned for spending a decade in the league. Now entering his eleventh year, there’s only one goal in his mind, and that is to qualify for the Super Bowl and win it.

If you play this [quarterback] position, I’ve said it before … how you’re judged is winning that last game. Anything other than that, you’re warranted to get [the criticism] because you’ve not won that game. If you’re not wired that way and if it’s not what pushes you, you should probably find a different job and a different position.

Prescott isn’t the only high-profile quarterback chasing the same goal. Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson and Buffalo Bills Josh Allen are part of the same bandwagon. Despite tasting better success than Prescott, winning the league MVP trophy, neither of them has reached the Super Bowl.

Dak Prescott sheds light on George Pickens’ whereabouts

The Cowboys kicked off the minicamp, hoping George Pickens would attend the practice after he signed the franchise tag earlier in the year. However, the Pro Bowl wide receiver didn’t show up for it, even for one day.

Prescott refused to put a date on when fans will get to see Pickens in the Cowboys colors once again.

I’m just showing George my support. The guy that I know George [Pickens] is — obviously he signed the tag, so when he has to be there and ready to play, he’s going to be there. He’s a hell of a talent.

Prescott told Joseph Hoyt of Dallas News in May

Prescott changed his tone when reporters asked him about Pickens once again.

I haven’t had any conversations, and to be honest, would love for him to be in, but even if he’s in, I doubt it’s a full, he’s going full go, jumping in the team. I would hope not to be honest, just being protected and being smart. Just hope he gets in just to see some of the new guys, meet some of the new guys. I’m sure he’ll be here.

So, where is Pickens? Well, he’s busy conducting youth football camps.

The Cowboys acquired Pickens from the Pittsburgh Steelers ahead of the 2025 season by sending a 2026 third-round pick and a 2027 fifth-round pick. Pickens played every game in his first year with Dallas. He caught 93 passes for 1429 yards and scored 9 touchdowns.

Dak Prescott gives a concerning update about his health

Prescott has a lot on his plate outside of the gridiron, and that may have taken a toll on his health. Clarence Hill Jr. of DLLS asked the 32-year-old if he had lost some weight.

Stress may help lose a little weight here and there. I’m kidding. I’m going to shut it right there.

Prescott replied

A week before his marriage to Sarah Jane Ramos, the pair ended their relationship due to alleged infidelity. The pair share two daughters and are co-parenting them.
