Ryan Williams seems to be on everyone’s mind after his remarkable performance against the Georgia Bulldogs. With a 75-yard touchdown catch, the Alabama freshman led his team to a 41-34 victory on Saturday night. Starting his college football career at Alabama Crimson Tide certainly provided an advantage, but it was his standout debut performance that earned him recognition from one of the NFL’s top receivers.
During a recent appearance on Cleats & Convo podcast, San Francisco 49ers’ star Deebo Samuel was asked about Williams’ astounding performance on the night of September 29th. He replied not only with words of appreciation, but also made a bold prediction regarding the future of the 17-year-old Alabama freshman.
Highlighting his 16 receptions for 462 yards and five touchdowns in four games, the Pro Bowler praised Williams as an elite player and “true freshman” to be on the Alabama team. Against the Bulldogs, Williams finished the game with six receptions for 117 yards and a game-winning 75-yard touchdown.
Ryan Williams’ NIL valuation soars to $1.5 million following stellar performance
Following his remarkable performance in the prime-time game on national television, the 17-year-old NIL valuations have heightened massively with a significant increase of followers on his social media handle. According to Pete Nakos of On3.com, Williams’ NIL valuation has nearly doubled after his game-winning touchdown on Saturday.
His earlier valuation was $768,000, which has now jumped up to $1.5 million. With this new valuation, the freshman wide receiver has been ranked at the 14th position among college athletes with the most valuable NIL deals.
Additionally, Williams earned 96,000 followers on his official Instagram handle, since last Saturday. As much as the NFL teams would want such a gifted receiver, he will only be eligible for his NFL draft in 2027 at the age of 20.
