It seems like the WWE Universe is on the brink of something massive. But from where did this rumor ensue? Earlier today, Cody Rhodes joined The Pat McAfee Show. Following their lengthy conversation, McAfee told Cody that he heard ‘the big guy’ is coming back this week. In response, Rhodes asked, Is he? Which one?
To that, McAfee said Cody told him about that but appeared in no mood to spoil it right away. What’s this week? It’s the WWE Bad Blood PLE, which is already a stacked show. Who knows, there might still be room for some surprises? Speaking of Rhodes, he’s set to tag with Roman Reigns, taking on Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu.
While speaking on air during the McAfee show, the former AEW EVP said he and Roman just agreed to co-exist. However, they haven’t shook hands. Apart from that, the Undisputed WWE Champion dropped another bombshell of news. He told Pat that a vignette would air during Bad Blood that’d have major championship implications tied to it heading into Crown Jewel in November.
One might presume that the said video package will unveil Cody’s challenger for the gold at the Saudi Arabia-bound PLE. Rhodes didn’t stop there. Speaking of WrestleMania 41, he seemed confident of headlining the show, which he has already done thrice. But this time around, it’d be something perhaps bigger than anyone anticipated, added the 39-year-old.
At this point, the reports suggest that The American Nightmare will step into the ring with none other than The Rock at WrestleMania next year. Moreover, on Raw after WrestleMania XL, The Final Boss himself told Cody that their story was just about to begin.
After Cody Rhodes’ tease, fans anticipate the return of The Rock at Bad Blood
Cody Rhodes and Pat McAfee have got everyone talking. They’ve tested the waters with their not-so-subtle tease. The social media is already brimming with excitement. Netizens have assumed that all the fuss about that big guy is linked to The Rock.
Claims are also being made that Rock, Roman Reigns, and Cody Rhodes will face off to close out Bad Blood. There’s also some trolling, with several accounts posting the GIFs of Ryback, as he’s indeed a former big guy of WWE.
Apart from these, a minor portion of fans have pinned their hopes on an impending Jimmy Uso return. However, if Rock’s made the call, it could mean Drew McIntyre and CM Punk ending up getting stripped out of their heavily clamored main event spot at Bad Blood.
