Another Manchester United youngster gets accused of domestic assault, complaint filed in Brazil 

Manchester United winger Antony has been accused of domestic violence, threat, and bodily injuries by the former partner of the footballer Gabriela Cavallin. She filed complaints regarding this matter in Brazil.

According to reports, Gabriela Cavallin, who had a relationship with the 23-year-old forward in 2022, reportedly filed a police complaint in Sao Paulo. The reports stated that Cavallin claimed to have been assaulted by Antony on May 20. It was a day on which Anthony turned out for United in a Premier League fixture with Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

The report also included “photos of abrasions and threatening messages”. Cavallin earlier discussed previous aggressive behavior from Antony. Cavallin called upon authorities in Brazil to take “an urgent protective measure”, while further evidence in the case is gathered.

Antony had a relationship with Gabriela back in 2022. Cavallin revealed on social media in June 2022 that she had suffered a miscarriage when the pair were expecting their first child. Although no comments had been made by Antony, his representatives, or Manchester United.

Manchester United monitoring Goretzka’s situation at Bayern amidst their quest for new midfield reinforcements

Manchester United are reportedly interested in German midfielder Leon Goretzka. They are closely monitoring the availability of the player as Thomas Tuchel plots a midfield overhaul at Bayern Munich.

Tuchel raised eyebrows during the final match of the season. It was crucial as it sealed the Bundesliga title ahead of Borussia Dortmund. In the match, he substituted Goretzka, despite him only being on the pitch for 14 minutes.

According to the reports from Germany, the substitution ‘sent a message’ to the interested parties that Goretzka might be available in the market for the right price. Man United are said to ‘have him on their radar’ as they seek midfield reinforcements for the 2023-24 season.

Erik ten Hag and the club have Brighton and Hove Albion Football Club Moise Caiceado, Juventus’s Adrien Rabiot, and West Ham United’s Declan Rice on their list as well. But Man United might get Goretzka on a cut-price deal from Bayern should Tuchel indicate that the German midfielder is no longer needed at the club or in case Goretzka felt that it’s time for a new adventure elsewhere.
