The name Antonio Brown is synonymous to controversies in recent times. The former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver is currently not involved in the NFL but does enough to keep himself relevant.

The last time Brown was seen on the gridiron was during the last season when he made a theatrical exit during his time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 34-year-old took off his sporting gear on the pitch and marched out of during their game against the New York Jets.

That particular one-of-a-kind outburst saw his contract with the franchise come to an end as head coach Bruce Arians cut him out. Since then, he has found various ways of letting people know about his presence.

The most common of those ways has been to troll his ex-teammate Tom Brady, with whom he was great friends once. He pounced on every opportunity he got to troll the legendary quarterback even during the latter’s rough divorce with Gisele Bündchen this year.

He even posted sexually explicit pictures of partner Chelsie Kyriss recently on his official Snapchat account. All of this has meant that the wide receivers haters in the NFL has risen rapidly over the past year or so.

However, it seems that he hasn’t lost all his friends despite his actions on and off the field. Former Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Chad Johnson, is one of the very few left who has publicly supported him even during these controversies.

In an interview with Shannon Sharpe, Johnson spoke about his friendship with Brown and the fact that it goes way beyond football. He also specifically mentioned that while he doesn’t agree with everything Brown has done recently, he would want to sit down with him and make him understand things rather than talk about it in public.

“I haven’t bothered him… I love you, I love you forever and that’s it. I’m not one to scrutinize and am not going to talk about it I am going to talk to him. If there’s something that I need to say, it would be said in private,” Johnson started off.

“We’ve been together even before football, right from Miami. That is what I’ll always hold down. We all make mistakes. We all fall short of whatever it is in life that we want to do. During those times, I’m one that will lift my brother up and not talk about him. I love him to death.”

“Do I agree with everything he does? Absolutely not, but that’s a part of life. That’s a part of having a brother. You’re not going to like everything he does but you sit down and you talk to him. You let them know, ‘let’s try it this way because this route ain’t working.’ I’m just speaking in general, but I haven’t had the opportunity to talk to him because I’ve been on the go, but I’m gonna catch up with him one day.”
