“We needed to see James Harden have back-to-back great games” Nick Wright slams the Nets point guard for his up and down rise in the NBA this season

James Harden who returned after missing a string of games due to COVID-19 protocols didn’t hold himself back to shine in the absence of his teammate Kevin Durant. Most NBA teams are affected by COVID protocols, including Nets.

Before the Brooklyn Nets game on Christmas Day against the Los Angeles Lakers, James Harden was omitted from the starting line-up due to the health and safety protocols and was kept in quarantine.

But during the Christmas Day game of the Nets, James Harden returned in the line-up and led his team to the victory by putting a triple-double and 36 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists in the game. The Brooklyn Nets won the game by 122-115 on the final board against LeBron James and his team Los Angeles Lakers.

James Harden found his way to the free-throw line 17 times and even grabbed three blocks making his season-high. Since November 27, coming into the games he was shooting just 40.4 percent from the field, and as history suggests this could gradually rise as the season thoroughly progresses.

Nick Wright reveals that James Harden cannot win his full confidence by winning just two games for the Brooklyn Nets

From the last two games, James Harden has been performing at the best he could as the point guard dropped 39 points against the Los Angeles Clippers and 36 points against the Los Angeles Lakers. It is a noteworthy performance especially when the Nets forward has entered with 40.4 percent from the field which is his lowest mark since his rookie campaign.

Nick Wright is not convinced by Harden’s performance from the last two games after his return. He feels that prior to this December Harden was 20 points on 36 percent and this is why he is not fully convinced of the Nets’ point guard.

“We needed to see James Harden have back-to-back great games … Because KD wasn’t there, the Nets needed all of this from Harden. 2 games doesn’t give me full confidence that he’s re-earned his spot on my player pyramid, but it’s a step in the right direction.”

Talking about the Brooklyn Nets at some point Kyrie Irving may enter the league but as Kevin Durant and James Harden have been performing lately it seems that they are better off with Kyrie. But having Kyrie back to the line-up would surely make a big impact on the game.
