Universal Champion Roman Reigns with Paul Heyman
WWE Hell in a Cell 2021 will be featuring a battle between the Universal Champion Roman Reigns and Smackdown Tag Team Champion Rey Mysterio inside the unforgiving structure. The feud between the two Champions kicked off a few weeks ago when Reigns brutally attacked Rey Mysterio’s son and Tag team partner, Dominik Mysterio.
The Tribal Chief’s current reign as the Universal Champion, makes it seem like a win for him would be as easy as a walk in the park. Unlike the other current WWE main eventers (Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley), Reigns has enough experience of battling inside the Hell in a Cell. He has been part of the stipulation on 4 occasions, and WWE Hell in a Cell 2021, would be his fifth appearance.

#4 Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman at WWE Hell in a Cell 2018
Roman Reigns taking on Braun Strowman, inside the WWE Hell in a Cell has blockbuster written all over it. While the match was a brutal, hard-hitting encounter, but failed to deliver on the finish.
Mick Foley was the guest referee for the match, which even witnessed a battle between Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler at the top of the cage.
If this wasn’t enough, Brock Lesnar too appeared, kicked open the door of the cage, and destroyed the two participants. Paul Heyman sprayed something into the eyes of Foley, while the replacement referee ended the match as a “No Contest”. Such finishes are always underwhelming, especially at Hell in a Cell.
#3 Roman Reigns vs. Rusev at WWE Hell in a Cell 2016
Roman Reigns defeated Rusev at Hell in a Cell 2016, to retain his WWE United States Championship. The match had some really amazing spots, with Rusev even using a steel chain to lock the Accolade.
But the only thing that didn’t work for this match was the fact that it took place during a time when the WWE Universe loved to hate Reigns. Sadly for them, Reigns hit a vicious Spear for the win.
#2 Roman Reigns def. Bray Wyatt at WWE Hell in a Cell 2015
Roman Reigns was feuding against The Wyatt family, when he faced Bray Wyatt inside the Hell in a Cell. Several interferences from the Wyatt family, had built up to the match taking place inside the Hell in a Cell.
The match was one of the best matches of Reigns’ career where both the Superstars displayed their in-ring abilities. As usual Roman Reigns show his skills up to the mark to amaze the wwe universe. Reigns hit a Spear to win this match too.
#1 Roman Reigns def. Jey Uso at WWE Hell in a Cell 2020
Easily one of the best Hell in a Cell match. It had action, drama, emotions and storytelling. The match gave just a small glimpse of the Heel Roman Reigns, who completely destroyed his cousin Jey Uso in the “I Quit” match. This match also gave Roman a strong Heel character which was appreciated positively by the audience.
In addition to the action, it was the drama that significantly elevated the match. At one point the Universal Champion broke down and attacked his cousin again. A similar hard-hitting bout at the upcoming PPV, will be a perfect end to the WWE Thunderdome Era.
