It appears like WWE has pre-ordered the Father’s Day present for Rey Mysterio. That being said, he’s scheduled to compete in a unique stipulation match next weekend. There’s nothing like special in that, however, intrigue automatically kicks the door once everyone knows whom he’s facing. Without further a due, let’s reveal it.
The WWE Hall of Famer will square off against the ultimate heat magnet – Dominik Mysterio, in a Father’s Day Street Fight. Who can ever forget their epic rivalry which had tons of dramatic moments that will be cherished for years. Even though they’re done for the television audience, WWE often revisits their previous matches for live events.
The announcement was made through an official advertisement from the Charleston Coliseum, the host venue for June 18 house show. Interestingly, Rey vs. Dominik is being dubbed as a double main-event. It’s because Seth Rollins will defend his World Heavyweight Championship against an undisclosed opponent.
Anyways, fans on social media are more than thrilled to know about the latest chapter being added to the Father vs. Son rivalry. Many are even arguing that WWE should tape this for airing purposes. Besides this match in particular, the recent WWE house shows have been on a roll. Tickets are moving swiftly and they’re setting records each week.

Rey Mysterio humiliated his son at WrestleMania 39
After weeks of embroiling emotions and disrespect, Rey finally snapped on Dominik two weeks prior to WrestleMania. After Dom crossed the line on his mother, Rey has had enough at that juncture. He decided to teach his son a lesson in the form of a match at The Showcase of the Immortals.
At the event, Rey paid homage to his best friend – Eddie Guerrero, coming out on a Lowrider and Guerrero’s entrance theme. On the other hand, Dom was brought to the SoFi Stadium in a police van, keeping his hard prison Dom gimmick alive. Once the match began, Rey dished out a public yanking to his brainwashed son.
At one point, Dominik even threw a drink on his sister’s face, who was there with her mother at ringside. During the closing moments, Damian Priest tried to get involved by aiding his Judgment Day member. However, his attempt got nullified by Bad Bunny, who was there on the commentary table. As a result, the Master of 619 did his signature manuevers and pinned his son.
