CM Punk’s jaw-dropping WWE return is regarded as the greatest comeback in the company’s history. However momentous the return was, the superstar received quite an ambivalent reception from WWE talents backstage.
Seth Rollins was one of the few superstars who was unimpressed by Punk’s arrival. The latter also shunned CM Punk chants at a recent WWE live event.
On December 9, 2023, WWE hosted a house show in Utica, New York. The Visionary was successful in defending his prized World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura in the live event.

Rollins was preparing to deliver a promo after the title bout, only to be interrupted by CM Punk chants. However, the champion wasn’t reluctant to masterfully dismiss the disruptive chants.
The 37-year-old was quick to react and asked the fans who CM Punk was in a mocking tone. He then proceeded to ask the fans whether Punk was present in the building. Momentarily stealing Punk’s famous moniker, Rollins declared himself the best in the world. The champion argued that he is far superior to Punk because he has been a consistent performer. In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, the 37-year-old discussed his real-life tension with the Best in the World. Rollins shockingly claimed that Punk had said a lot of negative things about him.
