Emmanuel Acho goes after Mike Vrabel once again. He wants to see some sort of disciplinary action against Vrabel for renting a boat with pregnant NFL insider Dianna Russini.

TMZ recently uncovered that Vrabel and Russini jointly rented a boat in 2021. At that time, Vrabel was the head coach of the Tennessee Titans, and Russini, seven months pregnant, worked for ESPN.

Both Vrabel and Russini are married to different people. The 50-year-old married his Ohio State girlfriend, Jennifer Vrabel, and Russini took her vows with Kevin Goldschmidt, a Shake Shack executive, in September 2020.

On the latest segment of Speakeasy, retired NFL linebacker Emmanuel Acho went on a rant against Vrabel for spending private time with a different woman who’s also pregnant.

Mike Vrabel gotta catch a hell of heat at this point… Cause if you can’t lead yourself, how can you lead a group of men? This was no longer a mistake… Now, continued, willing, wild action… You are on a boat, married, with another married woman, who is pregnant… It’s wild we don’t know who is the father so we won’t assume. And you doing this in the midst of your [expletive] tenure? I can you expect all 53 [players]… to adhere to the off field advise… of a man, who for a minimum of six years continued, if not an affair; wildly disrespectful relationship.

On April 9, the New York Post published photographs of Vrabel inappropriately embracing Russini at a hotel in Arizona. Reportedly, people around the league had known that something fishy was going on between the pair since Russini was seen getting cozy with the Patriots’ head coach at a pool party during the NFL Owners meeting.

A different photo taken in 2021 at a bar in New York showed Vrabel leaning in to kiss Russini. Acho raised a valid question when the photos first reached social media. He wanted to know who took those photos, because they appeared to be the work of a professional.

Somebody hired a private investigator. And why is nobody discussing this? You do realize an iPhone could not zoom in from that distance. You do realize that those shots, those camera shots, were very peculiar and intentional camera shots.

However, that theory has been debunked by the Post. It was actually a couple vacationing at the same Arizona hotel who captured the photos. The husband, a football fan, recognized Vrabel but mistook Russini for his wife. They later realized that wasn’t the case, and tried to sell the photos to the highest bidder, before the Post decided to run the story.

Russini re-signed from her position at The Athletic and disappeared from the internet altogether.

Mike Vrabel took responsibility for his actions

The Patriots kept their distance from the entire scandal until Vrabel faced the media before the 2026 NFL Draft. Without mincing his words, Vrabel took responsibility for his actions and promised to seek therapy.

I take accountability for my actions. The actions that caused a distraction to the people that I care most about, my family, this football team, the organization, and our fans. My previous actions don’t meet the standard that I hold myself to… My family needs me this weekend, and that’s where I’ll be.

Vrabel missed the final day of the draft as he checked in for counselling. Later, he was seen buying apology gifts for his wife and his sons.

The Patriots appointed Vrabel ahead of the 2025 season. He helped the Patriots win the AFC East title and delivered the conference championship trophy by defeating the Denver Broncos. In the Super Bowl, they were defeated by the Seattle Seahawks.
