WWE is known for producing some of the best matches, epic storylines, and classic rivalries. The WWE superstars put their bodies on the line for the company and to entertain the fans. The wrestlers work very hard to deliver high-quality matches for the fans. However, there have also been instances where fans witnessed awkward moments on live TV.
Things do not always go as planned in the WWE. There had been a lot of instances of sudden accidents leading to horrific injuries, or maybe blood bursting out from somewhere on the body. Many wrestlers have also experienced embarrassing moments where their wardrobe malfunctioned.
Wardrobe malfunctions were quite common during the Attitude Era, where they occurred quite frequently. However, after the PG era, such instances occurred rarely as WWE took care of the camera angles more strictly. Here is the list of the top 10 most embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions in WWE:
1. AJ Lee
There was a time when AJ Lee was considered one of the top female superstars in WWE. She was often seen with Dolph Ziggler in the ring and even had some exceptional solo matches in the company. The former WWE Divas Champion suffered a bad wardrobe malfunction on an episode of SmackDown a long time ago.
She was fighting alongside Dolph Ziggler against The Great Khali and Natalya in a mixed tag team match. AJ Lee was wearing a t-shirt and ripped jeans. During one of the instances of the match, her t-shirt popped up, exposing her breasts. Although she did wear a bra, it was nothing to be censored, but still, she managed to shock the audience. The former WWE star played it down by licking her hand like a cat, trying to provoke Natalya.
2. Cameron
WrestleMania 30 was a shocker for every WWE fan. The Undertaker lost his streak to Brock Lesnar, leaving fans astounded. Apart from this, the spectacular event also had a wardrobe malfunction during a match. In the first-ever Vicky Guerrero Invitational match, 13 female wrestlers from WWE competed to win the Divas Championship.
It was a forgettable match with no real buildup. However, during that match, WWE superstar Cameron suffered a wardrobe malfunction where the back of her top got ripped. She held onto her breast to continue the match, and so many other superstars in the ring helped her hide it successfully. It was one of the incidents that caught the attention of the fans.
3. Brie Bella
The Bella Twins were known for their incredible in-ring skills and on-mike talents. They had a great run in the WWE and won a lot of championships. During one of the episodes of The Miz TV, Brie Bella had an awkward wardrobe malfunction, and that too without even wrestling.
During the segment, The Miz hosted the Bella Twins as well as a few other Divas superstars from WWE. During the segment, both Nikki and Brie Bella had to clap for the upcoming WWE Divas. Unfortunately, Brie Bella’s breast got exposed on camera. Later, she apologized and clarified that it was due to the humidity that her tape fell off.
4. Kaitlyn
Kaitlyn and AJ Lee had a great storyline during their feud. They turned from best friends to bitter enemies after AJ Lee turned heel along with Dolph Ziggler. Later, AJ Lee, Ziggler, and Big E tried to pick on Kaitlyn, trying to embarrass her. On one of the episodes of Raw, Kaitlyn had an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction.
During the episode, Kaitlyn cornered AJ Lee and tried to beat her up. She went berserk as she kept attacking Lee. In a shocking moment during their altercation, Kaitlyn’s breast popped out of her top. It happened in a flash, but it was still caught on camera. Later, Kaitlyn joked about it and asked the fans to get over that malfunction.
5. Lita
Lita is probably one of the greatest female wrestlers of all time. She has been an inspiration to a lot of current WWE superstars and has always supported young talents. The fans loved her presence and cheered Lita a lot during her matches. However, fans also remember the most R-rated scene in pro wrestling history, where Lita suffered a wardrobe malfunction.
Back when Lita was with Edge and the latter won the WWE Championship, they both celebrated the win with a Live S*x Celebration. The fans went wild, as it was a very shocking segment to air on television during that time. However, things didn’t go as planned since Lita’s breast got exposed to the camera during the segment. It was probably one of the most jaw-dropping malfunctions in pro wrestling.
6. Stephanie McMahon
Stephanie McMahon has been loved and hated by a lot of WWE fans due to her on-screen personality. Very few fans know that Stephanie experienced a wardrobe malfunction back during the Attitude Era.
During one of her on-screen arguments with Triple, things got physical. Triple H set her up for a pedigree in the course of events. As she bent down with her arms locked around her, her breast came out and got exposed. She quickly fixed it but it, was too late. Stephanie said later that it was one of her most embarrassing moments in the WWE.
7. Rosa Mendes
Rosa Mendes might not be a very popular name in WWE, but she was under contract with WWE for a long time. She was never used well or had a good storyline with another wrestler. She was mostly in managerial roles in WWE, where she managed Fandango, and Team Primo, and Epico.
But fans might remember her for her infamous wardrobe malfunction back in the day. Mendes was once in serious trouble with WWE officials when a major wardrobe malfunction occurred during one of her rare wrestling contests. Rosa’s bottoms were entirely pulled down throughout the competition, exposing her rear end to everyone.
8. Jacqueline
Most of the new WWE fans might not know Jacqueline, but she was hugely popular among wrestling fans in the 1990s and 2000s. She was a former Women’s Champion and Cruiserweight Champion, who generally competed with men. Jacqueline was involved in a love triangle storyline with Sable and Marco Mero.
During that time, fans could not believe that a no-nonsense Jacqueline would be involved in anything romantic. However, during one of the segments where she was competing in a bikini contest, she accidentally exposed her breast while dancing. It was quite an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction that is well remembered by fans even now.
9. Dawn Marie
Dawn Marie was quite a talented wrestler during the Attitude Era. She was involved in a very popular rivalry with Torrie Wilson that entertained the fans throughout. However, most fans remember her for one of the most embarrassing wardrobe malfunctions of all time. During their storyline, she faced Wilson on Judgement Day 2004, which had this malfunctioning incident.
During her fight, at one point of time, her tights torn and her entire bottom came loose. The fans were just shocked to see her exposed like that. Nevertheless, Marie continued and completed the whole match despite the malfunction. The fans credited her for her dedication to the sport.
10. Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels is not just a name but an emotion for WWE fans. The Heartbreak Kid is known for his exceptional in-ring high-flying skills, his charm, and as his personality outside the ring. The WWE Hall of Famer has given everything for the company and is often considered a generational talent by the fans.
However, Michaels has also been a victim of wardrobe malfunctions, and few of the male wrestlers have experienced it. At WrestleMania 10, there was a ladder match between HBK and Razor Ramon for the Intercontinental Championships. Ramon grabbed his tights to pull him down from the ladder. Unfortunately, his tights were pulled down, exposing his behind to the world.
